Stop Clearcutting CA | Sonia Demiray and Jennifer Mamola
Keep It In the Forest – An Environmental Campaign to Combat Misinformation
America’s forests are under siege. The Keep It In the Forest campaign is a grassroots education movement led by a coalition of NGOs and experts, which breaks down the science and economics behind why protecting forests, NOT cutting them down, is essential for humans, biodiversity, and our planet. In addition, this campaign accompanies a 12-article series that tackles industry and government agency myths on wildfire, biomass energy, forest conservation, and more–while providing resources for advocacy.
Sonia Demiray of Climate Communications Coalition and John Muir Project’s Jennifer Mamola joined Stop Clearcutting CA for a Forest Protection Forum to discuss the campaign as well as introduce a draft bill, the Forest Protection and Climate Justice Act.
